[...] Neighborhood Round-up: Introducting Deborah! June 20, 2007 [Editor’s note: When I noticed that Deborah Burns was writing a most wonderful blog about Seattle’s Urban Villages, I could help but hope that she make take a part in helping to write about Seattle neighborhoods on RCG! And to my great pleasure, she agreed! Deborah has been with RCG for a long time (she even attended our first RCG meet-up back in April ‘06). One of the things Deborah has offered to do is to take over the neighborhood roundups I started a while back, which seems more than appropriate considering her interests… However, I sincerely hope she doesn’t limit her involvement to this genre. Without further ado, I’m happy to welcome Deborah as the newest RCG contributor!] [...]

Dustin,

A belated thanks again for setting up the get together. Fun and informative. Fun to finally meet Anna and the littlest Luther. And other notables such as Robbie and Craig. Deborah's comment about a crash course in blogging is what it felt like. Always fun to learn new stuff, especially when a lot of it is new-new and still evolving.

Congratulations on your own commitment to the start-up path. now maybe I have some insights to trade for all the learning I'm getting from being involved with RCG.

Deborah,

It was great to meet you as well... I've been so swamped lately, I haven't had a time to write about the great evening we had... But I think I'll be able to pull something out this weekend!

Dustin, it was great to meet you and the others at the meetup last night. I am still uncertian how blogging works (the technical part) and I am in the crash immersion phase with all the information washing over me, but I feel like some of it is solidifying. I really appreciated your enthusiasm as well as the others. The dialogue format and story-telling aspect of blogging is really important in measuring the "tone" of the people behind it, allowing the readers to understand who they are reading and eventually making the decision to choose the service or join in the dialogue . Thank you for setting it up, and I look forward to attending another!

[...] We then left and decided that on our drive home we would stop in Ballard to drop in on Dustin again as he was having a “meet up” in a small coffee shop with some local real estate professionals. It was a great day. Thanks Dustin! [...]

Dustin...what a great idea! I am sure you will report back on its success (or not) so us copycats might consider doing the same.
