Unless the car owner is paying a lot of money, they are probably getting their car transported by a person who is actually driving the thing in order to quickly get across the country at a low cost. In this case, Anna and I elected to drive one car east and a different car west as a means for two car-free college kids to travel the country in a short amount of time. There are more than a few companies that transport people’s cars across the country.
