We are in a similar market as Google Base but our product gives structure (while still not imposing any set of predefined categories) to our index and therefore makes it possible for users to not only perform keyword search but also browse hierarchically with the ability to specify unlimited number of filters to refine their search.

Paul, as Galen mentioned, doing it by hand is free (but it will cost you time).

If you're an agent or have a smallish number of listings, I recommend using a company like Postlets or vFlyer. If you're a broker or have a large number of listings, I'd hire a software engineer to automatically export your listings directly from the MLS to GoogleBase and a cast of dozens.

[...] Meanwhile, Back In Redmond… May 30, 2007 Yesterday, Google Maps introduced Street View Maps for 5 major cities (alas, Seattle wasn’t one of them). The implementation of the Street View feature rocks even though the image quality isn’t as good as it could be. Jim and Galen have already blogged about the new release, so I’ll avoid repeating what they’ve already said. [...]

Rory, yes. I think so. I'm a little fuzzy on what the advantage of maplets is except that it's on Google, they let you use their driving directions and they don't let you mess with the interface. It actually makes me a little nervous - you're giving up a lot of control over your application.

Paul, it's free: go to Google Base and you're on your way. You can either do it by hand or, if you have a web developer, automatically.

[...] This was announced at the same time as Google’s real estate mashup yesterday. Obviously we’ll add this to ShackPrices the moment we’re allowed to use it. What great context it could bring to real estate search! [...]

Doesn't the Google Maps API allow just about any developer to make something like Maplets?
