BBQ Tomorrow!
Dustin on 06 1, 2007
The folks over at ActiveRain have organized a party for tomorrow to celebrate their first birthday and it looks like all real estate bloggers are invited!
It starts at 1pm and will be at the Magnolia Park!
Sorry for the late notice: I knew it was in June, but didn’t realize that it was in the very beginning of June!

I’m bringing Kim and Pasta Salad.
I’m going to try to make it…depending on how my Dad is doing.
Have fun my good friends in Seattle…..I am holding an Open House….so think of me….LOL! (not!)….congratulations on one year…..wow – time sure does travel fast……
Had a great meetup. Met many people I previously knew only by blog and name, and no surprises. People ARE who you envision them to be by their blogging. That’s pretty cool.
Met some other people I didn’t know at all, and it was a good time.
I felt badly when I left to learn that Reba had come at some point after Rhonda left. Kim, my partner met her, but I didn’t know she was there until on the way home. Too busy gabbing with David G., Caleb and Greg Perry, among others. I very much enjoyed chatting with Greg, and we plan to get together again soon.
We never have enough time to meet everyone individually, so these group meetups are great.
Thanks to Active Rain for hosting it.
Happy Birthday, Active Rain!
Yes, Ardell, it was a fun day, and I enjoyed meeting you and Kim and the rest of the Rainers that attended.
You know what struck me? Those youngster 20 and 30 something blogger agents, the Active Rain and Zillow group have such a bright futures! I think the industry will be in fine hands when our knarled old fingers won’t be tapping the keyboard any longer. At any rate, it was fun hanging around them. They gave me enough energy to make it the rest of the year!
Well, and Ardell, you have no shortage of energy either!
It’s true, Greg. Hanging around Geeky Boys makes you younger. It sharpens the tool. Causes you to think from a fresher outlook.
Shoot…I wish I could have met Reba. With our three teens a couple hours was their max before a pubecent scene! An RCG meet is in order, in my humble opinion. I had a great time…I even posted a blog about the blog picnic on my (mortgage porter) blog…at which point, our kids decided I was 100% wacko.
Just got home from the Triple Sip at the Triple Door. What a hoot! We’ve never done that before. I would have to say that today, for me, was a tri-fecta.
As a Kansas City rainer, had I known, I could have brought the BBQ.
Happy 1st Birthday Rain City Guide – I blog for Real Blogging but as a Seattlite I love to read and occasionally comment on your ‘Seattle’ based blog site as well. Sorry I missed your party – I didn’t know it was happening until after the fact. That’s what happens when you take the weekend off……….
Andy,
Thanks for stopping by… It was actually ActiveRain’s 1st BD party as I’m glad to say that RCG has been going on for over two years now!
It was great to see everyone there. Connecting with everyone offline was definitely an awesome experience.
