So many people in SEA have made me feel welcome here, so I def. feel at home here, which is great. Thanks Jillayne for taking me through the scenic/hopping route! Definitely a great way to go, I can't wait to check out the U district on a weekend one of these days. I know what you mean about getting wrapped up in work, and not getting out enough. After we went North over the University bridge, we came to 45th. If we would have turned right, we would have ended up in the University district which would have been hoppin' on a Saturday night, but we went left. A few blocks later, we passed the Metro theater. They show great art-house flicks at the Metro that you can't get at the neighborhood multi-plex theaters. http://www.landmarktheatres.com/Market/Seattle/MetroCinemas.htm Then we crossed over the freeway heading west. At that point we were driving through Wallingford. Did you notice Dicks Drive-in on the left? Great for burgers, fries and shakes when you're on the run. There are many good restaurants all throughout Wallingford. After we got through Wallingford, we went up the hill and onto the northbound Highway 99 ramp. If we would have gone straight at that intersection, we would have ended up down in Ballard. So we crossed over and went north on Hwy 99. At the bottom of the hill, if we would have went right, we would have ended up near Greenlake, but we went straight and then you turned west toward Greenwood and I headed north!
