West Seattle Summerfest

Rhonda Porter on 07 14, 2007

Tomorrow from noon to 1, I’ll be volunteering at a booth for the Alki Community Council at the West Seattle Summerfest.  The booth is located across from the Rat City Rollergirls dunk tank (you can’t miss that).   The festival is fun (it is filled with plenty of bank and insurance booths) and features great local stuff too.   Besides the Rollergirls, I loved West 5’s employee art (we walked there today).   But wait, that’s not all:  there are two sound stages and the bands on the north and south stages were impressive!  :)     This review of the festivities pretty much covers it.

In the heat of Seafair summer, there is just so much to do!   But if you’re in my neck of the woods around lunch time tomorrow…why don’t ya stop by and say “hi”.

  1. Have fun Rhonda! I have gone to the Festival a few years ago and it was a lot of fun…a kaleidoscope of color and very entertaining as your link of the “review of the festivities” tells! I have an open house today (yesterday too) and they usually have me occupied from 11:30 (prep) to 6 (or later) so I will have to pass this year.

If it gets too hot in your booth maybe the Rat City Girls will let you help in their dunk tank!

  2. Thanks, Deborah. I’m only going to be there for an hour so hopefully I won’t get to hot! When my husband and I hoofed it to the fair yesterday afternoon…I don’t know what we were thinking (actually, the exercise did me good)…talk about being hot! And, not the Paris Hilton defn. either. ;)
