I agree completely about the future of analytics. The drivers are quite simple... RE people HAVE data... lots of it... much of it disparate, atomic and transactional. What is needed is the ability to consolidate and stage the data before aligning it along temporal and dimensional lines to provide some real intelligence from the data.

A topic I love talking about with anyone that will listen. Just ask Jillayne. :)

Robbie, thanks for the (unsolicted) plug! You're right, it wasn't too hard to setup. And since I sent a link around to my client list it's actually been generating some traffic too...which is kinda gratifying. I'll try to keep generating content although I've quickly seen that there is an inverse relationship between writing on the blog and my day job's activity level :-). Hopefully the market kicks into high gear and you don't hear from my 'til August.

Wow, thanks Robbie. I, too, hope 2008 is the year of RETS. There's definitely a lot of excitement building and I think we're going to see some great changes coming as we work on finalizing the property schema this spring. Though I've been prolific on the FBS Blog about RETS, I agree with Matt Lavallee that Mark Lesswing, NAR's CTO, deserves the bulk of the credit for the energy surrounding RETS today.
