  1. Oooo…Rain City Guide is shaking it up! Changes…Looking forward to seeing them, working with them and contributing to them.

Thanks Dustin for working to keep it fresh. 🙂

  2. Interesting… I have a bunch of things in mind, but a forum was not one of them… Mainly because I’ve been somewhat jaded by forums in the past in terms of monitoring them. But that doesn’t mean it is a bad idea, just one I have to think about a bit.

What type of topics do you think we should cover in a forum? I wouldn’t want to do it and just try to duplicate what the Seattle Bubble is doing because they’ve got a good thing going… and I really wouldn’t want to do it unless I thought we offered something different.

One of the main things I really want to do a better job of is covering the various neighborhoods in Seattle… and I have some ideas… Do you think there’s a need for a forum where the categories are broken up by neighborhoods? Would that be useful?

  3. We could have a forum for neighborhoods 😉 I don’t think we could duplicate SB (nor should we).

If we had participants who behave badly, we can send them to the corner or give them a time-out.

Monitoring could be a full time job…keeping up with comments can be plenty some days.

  4. hilarious you mention a dungeon… When friendfeed started letting people create their own “rooms” last week, I built a dungeon. I still don’t have much of a use for it, but if someone wants to join me in my dungeon, I welcome the guests.

  5. Rhonda,

At first I was very skeptical of FriendFeed, but with their new “rooms”, the threaded conversations are much slower and more relevant than the conversations on twitter, so I’m liking it much better.

If you get to the spot where you want to experiment with the site, check out this room set up by Morgan: RE.net.
