Click the button below to try out this tool from PopularMedia that makes it that much easier to share articles with others. If I get positive feedback, I’ll add it to all the posts on RCG!

  1. Cool new feature…but did you mean for it to share the actual post or RCG? {seesmic_video:{“url_thumbnail”:{“value”:”http://t.seesmic.com/thumbnail/MguA1eIwPa_th1.jpg”}”title”:{“value”:”Cool new feature…but did you mean for it to share the actual post or RCG? “}”videoUri”:{“value”:”http://www.seesmic.com/video/lD4ywuHu8N”}}}

  2. I tried it out, It’s interesting, sharing that way does allow for a lot more options. I’m wondering why they don’t have things like Digg in there. It has potential for sure.

  3. Rhonda,

    I totally agree about the feature needing to link back to the original post! 😉

    It turns out that it really only depends on what URL you are looking at… so when, and if, I install it, then I’ll make sure it only shows up on individual posts!

  4. Caleb and Christoph: There’s a ton of room that these guys could expand. I talked with the guy running the company yesterday and this is definitely the “pre-launch” tool… The next steps for them are pretty cool and the name of the tool (SocialNotes) gives some clues as to where they’ll be going in the near future.

  5. Ashish,

    Thanks so much for following up. I’ll definitely take a look at the more advanced integration before I bring it live to the entire site! Having talked with Jim, it seems you guys are definitely on to something really interesting.
