I am a broker who is always trying to help our agents find ways to counsel their sellers with information that is accurate and meaningful. There are a lot of questions and concerns we just don’t have the answers for. How nice to have this kind of information for them.

I was aware of this new MLS feature but didn’t think to use it in this way. Thank you so much for sharing! I’m definitely spreading the word at my office.

Because the field was not intended to be used this way, you can’t push a button to produce a report like this. For agents, here’s a list of how to do it.

1) Print out the “SUPRA” report generated by the keybox with the agent names and contact info.

2) Look up the agent LAG#s using the mls agent name search feature.

3) Then you do a “standard” search be unclicking Active and Contingent, and clicking all 4 pending fields and SOLD using recent close dates and putting the agent LAG# in the Selling Agent field.

You can track the agent from the date your listing was shown. You can keep a running list and check once a week or so. I noticed that the people who showed my listing more than once in a couple of days were more likely to be the ones to have something else in pending very quickly.

I have written this post to spread the word about using the data this way. It is not a feature avalilable in all mls systems, and is a new feature in ours. This is not the designated purpose of the data field, but hopefully agents and sellers will read this post and recognize what a valuable tool it can be.
