30 year fixed rate with interest only is no longer available with Wells Fargo. Other banks are adding more hits to pricing with this product. It's another one going the way of the do-do.

Cary, North Carolina needs some of that "secret sauce". Realtors like myself are having a tough time of it, to say the least. We have some attractive home deals and steady appreciation rates, believe it or not (last quarter we logged another 4.5%), but the doom and gloom national press has home buyers frozen in their boots.

BTW I've learned that the "secret sauce" spewed on the table is a mixture of guacomole, creamed corn and clam dip. Yummy. Hope everyone had a Happy Halloween. :)

That is one funny picture!

Here's a news link that's not so funny.

Remember all the bally-hoo about HR 3221? The foreclosure rescue plan, with banks writing down loans to 90% of current appriased value?

Check out this story!

http://tinyurl.com/no-hope-now

I am working on a theory...that happens when you don't have something else to work on.

I think homeowners are deferring present real refinancing solutions, in the hopes that some miraculous government cure will come along.

Who can blame them?

How many proposals have been floated by politicians eager to get your vote? How many have passed? Who can accurately keep track of the difference?

And how many have been truly helped?

If you hunker down in your home, expecting the government to pull you out of the deep water, it may be a long wait.

The government, while generally well intentioned, has limited resources in the current whack-a-mole game we are playing.

Better to move to higher ground BEFORE the water laps at your door.

Hey, I recognize that person in the photo. Did Rob have too much wine? I can't imagine that happening.

Ardell, I was going to put up a photo of a neighbor's Jack O Latern...but I found this goulish photo instead. We didn't even carve a pumpkin this year...almost did because my son said I couldn't do a cool one (oh yeah! Watch me...NOT)...maybe next year!

I am so glad you did the Halloween Theme Post! Best I could come up with was finding the worst volume stats I could, with a big BOO! over them. I'm not very good at make believe and sometimes horror can be a bit TOO realistic :0

Happy Halloween, Rhonda!
