		<description>After compiling the data here and the data in the post linked in the bottom of this one, I think it is highly possible that one person is putting more than one property into pending at the same time. The huge variance in the ratio of closed short sales vs. pending short sales would suggest that. The variance is too great.

So if someone puts 3 or more houses into &quot;pending&quot; waiting for lienholder approval, then cancels 2 or more and closes on one, that would account for part of the huge &quot;fall out&quot; rate.</description>
