I can’t find anyone who will stage just one vacant room. The rest of the house is fine, but the master bedroom is empty.
If anyone knows a stager who will stage a master bedroom in Kirkland/Bellevue, can you please have them give me a call at 206-910-1000 ASAP?
Thank you!
There are all kinds of stagers as we know. Some are better than others. Seems to me a local Furniture Company could be persuaded to furnish a room with proper credit visibly displayed. J-
Hi Ardell,
I have passed your request on to a stager that we work with. Ronalee Wear will be calling you. She does beautiful work. She can also fine tune any problem areas in the rest of the house, if wanted.
Doug
Thank you both. Sorry I didn’t respond earlier…I just moved all of my staging inventory into a larger space were I can see what I have. I generally prefer doing my own staging…but I don’t have the ability to do an empty master bedroom unless I rent the furniture from Corts…which I may have to do. But this particular room is a bit irregular in shape, so I’d rather have a stager come in and do it as a complete project.
I continue to be amazed at your professionalism Ardell. Doing your own staging is yet another example of how hard you work to serve your clients and earn your commision. JG
Jerry,
I like to do my own staging because it helps me bond with the owners and the house itself before I “represent” both it and them.
I personally love the house I’m staging right now. It’s a “Georgian” from a former Street of Dreams. Right up my East Coast alley 🙂
This is the last one I staged…sold in 4 days!

This is the one I staged before the one above. It’s closing tomorrow or Monday:

Both of those were occupied homes with children living in them while I was staging and selling them. I use some of their things and some of my things. Usually works out well. On the first one I even stood up on the master bath sink counter and helped the electrician install new lights over the mirrors.
It’s the fun part of my job, but time consuming and I have to admit I’m pretty beat today from all of the manual labor. Rewarding though.
About my mentioning my being a Seattle native- “Right up my East Coast alley” is the same thing in reverse- nicht wahr? (Isn’t that so? in German). Anyhow, bonding with the owners- and the house- is always worth doing- nw?. 🙂
Not really…often a house can have an East Coast vibe. A Georgian, I think, by definition is an East Coast style of home, as in Colonial Georgian” originally built in “the Colonies” and mostly found in Connecticut and Massachusetts.

Hey Jerry,
That reminds me, with so many different names for home styles, why is everything here called “a craftsman” except a tudor?
Ardell- My guess is that the people doing the calling just have to put a label on things. As for me, I think a home should be judged by its livability, how it’s arranged, the circulation, how it fits it site, etc…….
One of my early bosses/mentors was an expert in Georgian design. He had been one of the principal architects at Colonial Williamsberg. In our infrequent visits to my NY-born wife’s native East Coast, we often drive up to Connecticut and other New Englans places to admire the homes- many so much better than the indifferent builder product of today. Sp I do know and fully appreciate the difference. 😉
Ardell- Here’s one of mine in Meadowdale, Edmonds that just sold and closed. As you did above, the Agent used a video to market this Mid-Century Modern.

Thanks Jerry. LOVE that picture of the family at the Christmas Tree!
If you were still an “EastCoaster” Ardell, you could call on someone like this to stage your homes. I doubt however they would do a single Bedroom.

That’s not “the East Coast”…that’s a condo 🙂 They pretty much look the same wherever they happen to be…
What’s your definition of “a Craftsman Home”, Jerry?
I’m glad you asked that question Ardell. As you can see, I had an answer “Knol” ready. J-

Further along the “Staging” Thread Ardell, in the Seattle Times lately. An interesting Topic. Jerry

Jerry,
Heading out to Madrona and Leschi to see a couple of houses…will check the link when I get back.
You may want to try using this site to shorten your links before posting them

I’ve gotten a little leary of these “Link Shorteners” on that they sometimes decay and fail to work after a time. J. This is one of my better “Knols”. You might try writing one sometime.
Ardell- Google Knol WebSite.

A- Here’s the above link shortened per your suggestion. Thanks J 🙂

Hi Ardell,
Pam at Staging for Charisma does a great job and works with our clients’ needs. She can stage a whole house down to providing some “fluff” if that’s all someone needs. pam@stagingforcharisma.com.
Good luck.
Thanks Debra. I know many “all or fluff” too. But furniture for just one room seems to be an obstacle. I’ll give Pam a call.
Hope you are well. Did “the eggplant house” sell?
Yes, the “eggplant” house sold! They got a great price for it. It’ll close in a couple of weeks. Thanks for showing it. Hope I can return the favor.
Ardell- Here’s our Mercer Island “Kid-raising Barn” (on the market again just now). As you’ve seen by the Listing, It could use a bit more staging. Jerry
