Friday Night at Crossroads Shopping Center

4taydougwebI received an email announcing that The Taylor Jay and Doug Bright Combo are “performing hot jazz standards from swingers like Louis Armstrong, The Inkspots, Billie Holiday, Bonnie Guitar, and many others.”

Looks like Friday night from 7:30 to 10:00. I expect it’s free, as there is no info regarding price or tickets and likely in the open food court area. I don’t know them, but I like that kind of music, so I thought I’d throw it up here as a public announcement of a local, apparently free, event.

    Thanks, nice to shake it up. Looks like fun!

    Can’t go, my little band, Inner Voices is playing at the Lyon’s Den in Bothell Friday night. 60s 70s vocal folk pop.

    Nice coffeeshop, free.

    If it’s free, is it blatant self-promotion?

    I’ll leave that to da judge….:)

    Roger,

    It would only be “self” promotion if I were one of those ladies in the Combo :) I don’t even know this group, just seemed like a fun place to go on Friday night for people who live nearby.

    Blatant promotion is allowed, just not “self” promotion.

    Crossroads and the Lyon’s Den are fun places to go, I wish there were more like them.

    I was poking fun at MY self promotion!:)

    It’s so much more fun to play music nowadays: no pressure, no attitude, no worries, we just love to play what we like and visit with friends.

    And not have to clean up afterwards!
